American culture through art. The first exhibition of the new year at BEAMS T Harajuku will be by artist KINJO.

With roots in Okinawa, the artist'sKINJOHis subject matter is American culture, which he has been exposed to since childhood. He sublimates symbols of consumer society such as corporate logos and product packaging, movies, animation, and subcultures into paintings and three-dimensional art.

An art show by KINJO is being held at BEAMS T Harajuku until January 21 (Sun.).

The theme is entitled "Wandering Considerations. From the iconic glow-in-the-dark eyes to works inspired by motifs we have all seen at one time or another, the exhibition content is a mix of past and new works that trace KINJO's roots.

The venue will also feature a lineup of apparel items incorporating the works.

T-shirts, long T-shirts, sweatshirts, and parkas are all made from original "BEAMS T" fabrics. The "Hey, River Snake C'mom" theme, which is a consistent theme in his artwork, and the aforementioned eye design are printed on these items to give them a taste of KINJO's world view.
