Graphpaper" defines "normality without being boring" by paying homage to classic items while rearranging them with the functionality and design necessary for modern urban living.
For Spring/Summer 2024, the brand is developing items inspired by "black ink," which is the base for dyes and other materials, with "black" as the core color.
First, let's take a look at some of the looks, which have been given an even more mode-like appearance.
The lineup consists of items created through repeated exploration of the process of dyeing fabrics black, which involved visiting numerous machine shops and dyehouses, and working together with many makers. The fabrics, expressions, and details that are born naturally from this process are combined with functional materials to create an assortment of items that are unique to "Graphpaper.
In conjunction with the launch of the collection, the exhibition "Graphpaper 2024 Spring & Summer Collection - Installation by Daichiro Shinjo" will be held at "Gallery 85.4".
In the exhibition, the items that form the core of this collection will be displayed alongside the works of artists and designers who became the source of inspiration for the black color.Daichiro ShinjoThe two artists from different genres will enjoy a special space interweaved with the works of Mr.
Let's conclude with the director, Takayuki Minami, and Daichiro Shinjo's thoughts on this collection.
Takayuki Minami
"We are not the kind of brand that holds fashion shows to express our theme, and we have always thought about how to convey our theme to the media, buyers, and the general public. We thought it would be interesting if we could express this season's theme, "sumi", with the works of Mr. Daichiro Shinjo."
Daichiro Shinjo
"Although we create different things, we share the same mindset of capturing the various things around us in a space, whether it is artwork or clothing. We hope to share a space and time with many people where they can feel this."
This exhibition will open on February 23 (Fri.). Please take advantage of this opportunity to view this special event, which is exclusive to this collection.
