FROM WHERE I STAND is a concept store located on the premises of the WITH THE STYLE FUKUOKA hotel in Fukuoka, Japan.
The store, whose motto is "the best store in the hotel," will publish a guidebook for Fukuoka, offering items to make your trip even more enjoyable.
Four local writers who live and work in Fukuoka have selected their favorite restaurants, including izakaya (Japanese-style pubs), teishokuya (set menus), ramen, udon, and coffee shops, as well as their favorite interior design and sundry goods stores and recommended places to hang out. This is a "Reading Town Guide" that describes 50 food, store, and place selections from a locally rooted perspective.
In this age when social networking services have become a part of our daily lives, they have dared to consider the significance and value of publishing the book in printed form, and have decided not to include any addresses or phone numbers of stores or places in the book. Please ask them about the true meaning of the book at the store.
Toshimitsu Aono, editor-in-chief of the magazine "Spectator," participated in the editing of this book, and Noritel Minesaki provided the art direction. The format of the book is pocket-sized A6 format , and the price is one coin. The guide does not include addresses or phone numbers, so it is a unique local town guide.
