Kyohei Sakaguchi's next project. . In collaboration with Komazawa-based Skool, he has launched a brand. The name is "WATER.

Kyohei SakaguchiWhen you look at the activities of Inochi, the word "title" becomes a bit silly. Sometimes he writes, sometimes he plays music, and sometimes he listens to people on the "Inochi Phone," and the range of his activities is expanding day by day.

Mr. Sakaguchi's recent interest lies in pastel paintings. A large exhibition of his pastel paintings held at the Contemporary Art Museum Kumamoto was a great success.

And another new scheme. Mr. Sakaguchi and I have just opened a store in Komazawa calledSkool.. has joined hands to launch a brand. The name of the brand is "WATER. The brand is named after his pastel drawings that project light, and was named by Mr. Sakaguchi himself.

This project started with the creation of original fabrics. There are four types in total: an all-over print featuring pastel drawings of mandarin oranges from his hometown of Kawachi, Kumamoto Prefecture; two original checks made of cotton-cupro and silk-cupro developed by Watanabe Orimono in Yamanashi Prefecture; and an all-over print featuring a wild rabbit and acorns on a fabric using Japanese paper weft yarn also made by Watanabe Orimono.

Ten items, including shirts, shorts, skirts, bags, and hats, were completed from each of these four fabrics. Mr. Makabe of "the Wall," who has a relationship with "Skool" as well, did all the sewing from cutting to sewing. The collared shirts were made by " Marvine Pontiak Shirt Makers.

The product will be available at "Skool" stores and online from April 13 (Sat.), Mr. Sakaguchi's birthday.
