Series "Aspiring Masterpieces" No.354 Maison Margiela's sneakers inheriting a masterpiece.

Masterpieces have their ups and downs, but it's a little hard to imagine a future where German trainers spill over from them.

The German trainer is a type of shoe that was created in the 1950s as a training shoe for the German army, and was considered to be a miraculous pair of shoes.

Maison Margiela has added its shoes to the "Replica" lineup. The collection claims to faithfully reproduce historical clothing and accessories and reinterpret them in a modern way. It was 1999, a quarter of a century ago.

The concept of "replica" is timeless and universal, based on the principle that the original item has already passed its time. As evidence of this, a label sewn into the insole indicates the origin of the original pair (they were found in Austria in the 1970s). It is obvious that this is a sign of respect for the perfection of the design.

The highlight is the unmistakable upper pattern, but the built-in elastics (which fit without laces), the 100% rubber honey sole, and the numbering tag sewn into the shoe's tongue are also not to be overlooked.

The new collection is a combination of nappa leather and suede, available in Aubergine and Birdy.

Replica" sneakers ¥99,000 each
