For Loewe , which has its roots in a leather workshop, leather is still its identity, and the quality of everything from raw hides to tanning techniques is unsurpassed. This wallet is no exception. Shiny napa calfskin lives up to its name with its fine and glossy texture. The silver embossing logo and the contrasting color lining also add a nice touch.
What cannot be overlooked is its construction. It belongs to the so-called trifold, but it is really anomalous. Conventional trifolds open left to right. This wallet, however, unfolds from top to left.
When the snap button is removed, the male side of the button lifts up to reveal a coin pocket with a zipper. When the coin pocket is unfolded to the left, six card pockets and a bill pocket appear.
Creative Director Jonathan Anderson would have made it big if he had chosen a career in architecture.
