The world's oldest jeans are reissued here. Levi's® Vintage Clothing launches a limited edition of 800 Nine Rivets.

Normally, Levi's® jeans have at least 11 rivets. However, the new jeans have only nine rivets.

This is a reissue of the "9Rivet," the oldest blue jeans in the brand's Nakamuro archives, which are believed to have been created in 1873 or 1974. They will be available from Levi's® Vintage Clothing.

The fabric is a 9-ounce plain selvedge denim made at the White Oak factory of Cone Mills, a company known for its Levi's®. The silhouette is thicker and easier to move in, and there are also old-fashioned details such as suspender buttons and cinch backs to adjust to the wearer's comfort.

One back pocket. The exposed rivets and single-stitch arquette stitching are just a few of the specifications that tickle the fancy of the enthusiast. What makes this model "9 Rivets" is the rivetless cinch back.

The leather patch is a pre-Two-Horse Mark design, a sign that this is one of the earliest models. The address of Levi's® headquarters at the time of the company's founding and the handwritten size are also featured.

The fan-favorite "Nine Rivets" is a limited edition of only 800 pieces and will be available at Levi's® Store Kyoto and the official online store from June 7 (Fri).
