I am grateful to be able to live a normal life. It was undeniably thanks to the pandemic that I was able to feel this again.
New York-based photographer.Masahiro TakaiMr. Kato, together with his mask, spent a year and a half photographing the changing city of New York as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, and his documentary photo book "NEW/YORK" will be released in Japan.
The stage for its unveiling is the concept store "moves" of the brand "PWA," which has many fans among HOUYHNHNM's readers.
The book is already available at the Spoonbill Bookstore in Brooklyn, but has been re-edited with art director Kentaro Sato (STUDIO FUNNEL) for the Japan release.
Incidentally, Nobuki Masuda, the designer of Pua, and Takai have been friends for some time, and they have also worked together on Pua's visual shoots. It seems that the brand will also be releasing collaborative items in conjunction with this release.
Mr. Takai will be at the gallery for only three days this weekend, including Friday, June 28, when the reception party will be held. Invite your friends to visit the gallery.
